The RoboCo demo makes an encore in the Yogscast Tiny Teams Festival on Steam
Solve the world’s problems, build adorable robots, then stick moustaches on them

Wisconsin, United States — It’s time to dust off your wrenches and soldering irons again, because Filament Games are rolling out the RoboCo demo for an encore today on Steam as part of the Yogscast Tiny Teams Festival. Already the recipient of multiple industry rewards, RoboCo was last playable during the Steam Summer Game Festival. It was a hit with players, giving aspiring engineers of all ages a chance to build a remote controlled robot waiter in the first of many planned scenarios - a humble first step in a grand mission to solve the problems of all squishy, hapless humans.
Players will soon have the opportunity to return to the restaurant floor and deliver sandwiches in style, or maybe just catapult them across the room in the rough direction of the customers. Whatever gets the job done is good enough, although more exacting engineers can crack open the casing and fine-tune every component inside their machines. While designed to be simple and accessible, RoboCo gives players the tools to create marvelously complex contraptions, and the freedom to experiment.
The demo will be available from 5pm GMT on Sunday, August 9th until the same time on Monday, August 17th. Plenty of time to refine your designs in the restaurant scenario, or explore the sandbox laboratory map. Test how your robot handles on conveyor belts, in zero gravity, or just run wild in the (highly breakable) staff break room. Maybe there’s even some easter eggs to uncover, if you can construct the right robot to search for them.
The RoboCo demo offers just a small taste of the full game. There are many more challenges planned by the game’s Early Access debut in early 2021. An enormous number of additional construction components are also in development, ready to be put through their paces by players. The full game will be playable using a VR headset and touch controllers, letting the most advanced of robot engineers immerse themselves in this wobbly cartoon universe and see their mechanical marvels taking shape.
